CSV loader http://thecartpress.com/extend/product/csv-loader/ Wed, 14 Dec 2011 00:36:59 +0000 http://extend.thecartpress.com/?post_type=tcp_product&p=203 CSV Loader is a plugin for TheCartPress. It allows to load products from a csv file.

TheCartPress CSV Loader is a plugin for TheCartPress. It allows to load products from a csv file.
CVS loader tries to handle whatever your file is, by letting you select each field.

Product Browsing from CSV

 • Allows to take a look to the CSV file, to check if the content is correct
 • Allows to assign the CSV columns to the fields of products
 • Allows to select a category where to attach the loaded products
 • Allows to set the status of the loaded products (draft or publish)

Cut your file down to a few lines to test with and try it out. It will read the fields and let you choose the corresponding product field for each one.

When you select a category in the interface, it sets all products to that category, overwriting whatever they were (if they existed before). If you list several columns for a taxonomy(category, tag, or other) in your file, those are all set on that product, adding to whatever is set previously. So it’s additive.

Dynamic Options Support

Take a look to How to Use CSV Loader + Dynamic Options document for more help.

Status Support

Since version 1.4.3, the CSV file supports a new column called status. Possible values are ‘publish’, ‘draft’, ‘pending’, or any custom status defined in the site.

To allow to use thie new column the parameter status must be filled, in the admin screen, as “defined in CSV file”.

Google eCommerce http://thecartpress.com/extend/product/google-commerce/ Mon, 10 Dec 2012 21:53:56 +0000 http://extend.thecartpress.com/?post_type=tcp_product&p=678 Send data to Google Analytics' Ecommerce tracking system. Allows you to visualize "cart abandonment" information, total number of visitors who began a checkout process. Track and optimize the buying process.

The post Google eCommerce appeared first on eCommerce Plugins for TheCartPress | TheCartPress extend.

]]>
This plugin extends TheCartPress, a WordPress-based eCommerce platform, to send data to Google Analytics’ Ecommerce tracking system. It requires that you already have a Google Analytics account and some means of adding Google Analytics code to your website (such as “Google Analytics for WordPress”).

REQUIRES PHP VERSION 5.3.0 OR HIGHER!

See the Settings panel for more information on proper setup in Google Analytics.

An example of the kind of report you can view in Google Analytics with this plugin:

The plugin also allows you to visualize “cart abandonment” information. Here is how to get to it:

* Log In to Google Analytics and click the “Reporting” tab

* In the left-hand menu, click “Audience”
* Then click “Custom”
* Then click “Custom Variables”

* Select “Checkout Step” in the main window

The information displayed shows the number of visitors who stopped at the step listed. For example, “Payment Complete” means that the visitor made it all the way through the checkout process and processed their payment. For any other entry, this is where the visitor stopped the checkout process. The usual order of checkout is:
* Billing (billing address)
* Shipping (shipping address)
* Sending (select shipping method)
* Cart Contents (review cart contents & final costs)
* Payment Method (select payment method)
* Checkout Notice (view the checkout notice and, if required, select “I agree”)
* Execute Payment (from here the visitor is prompted to go and finalize their payment with the payment processor)

Adding up all the “Visit Start” numbers will give you the total number of visitors who began a checkout process. You can then divide each individual step’s number into that total to determine the percentage of your visitors that abandoned the cart at that point, and for “Payment Complete” the percentage of your visitors who did not abandon their cart but rather completed the purchase.
