Last week we published the last version of TheCartPress.

It fixed some little bugs and add interesting new features to the plugin. Perhaps one of the most “interesting” would be “Under construction”.

This feature allows to set a site in “maintenance mode” or “under construction”.the site administrator could select a page to show or only redirect to the login panel.

For theme constructors or designer we have added the class “tcp-store” in TheCartPress pages, taxonomy, archives or Products pages. So designers could apply different styles to eCommerce pages.

Today, we announce the new release of TheCartPress. The 1.1.8 version of our eCommerce plugin for WordPress is published with plenty of new features.

The main of them are:

Product Options is, again, a separated plugin. so it’s no integrated into the core. This have been accomplish to support Dynamic Options, another useful plugin for options or variations in TheCartPress.

Private Plugins: Now, you can add widgets, but only for registered users, and filter them by roles. This features allows to display more functionalities to registered customers.

Buy Button templates: awesome feature to allow to WordPress theme designers to create theirs own buy buttons. These templates can be created into the themes. TheCartPress look for them in the themes hierarchy.

New  stock features: TheCartPress allows to display a new widget in the dashboard  area, showing the products with less stock. Another powerful feature is to send an email with low stock items, for each order.

International taxes: After an intense exchange of emails and community discussions, we have changed a bit how to calculate taxes. Now, The tax based country gets a very important role in the equation to calculate the taxes. To calculate the tax of a product, first, TheCartPress remove the taxes using the tax based country, and then applies the tax using the customer’s country (if tax settings use billing or shipping country).
