TheCartPress 1.1.7.1

A minor version has been updated today.

These are the new features:

  • Notice: “tcp_shopping_cart_empty” is a new template to display a message in the Shopping Cart and Checkout pages when they are empty. (Suggested in the community)
  • Edit Products (saleable post types): Search using SKU in the backend. (Suggested in the community)
  • Bug in tax definition
  • Hooks to add media player skins

TheCartPress 1.1.7, professional eCommerce software

Today, we announce the new release of TheCartPress. Our eCommerce plugin for WordPress is in version 1.1.7.

This new release is published with new features in the core and new Usabilities improvements.

Main new Usable features

  • Pagination support: All the loops, generated into TheCartPress, support pagination. It the site has enabled WP-PageNavi, this useful plugin will be used
  • Sorting support: All the loops, generated into TheCartPress, support sorting
  • New styles: More compatibles for clear or dark themes
  • Theme compatibility, TCP default templates: now for TwentyTen or Twentyeleven style themes
  • New Shipping method: Local Pick-up shipping method
  • Checkout Cart box: new setting to display or not the weight column
  • Media Player Skins: Select the skins for the media player or create your own skins

The Core, New Custom Post Type/Taxonomy API

At this moment, TheCartPress is capable to sell saleables post types. This was added in first versions, but now we have increased this ability, creating a new new API to manage Custom Post Types or Custom Taxonomies.

So, now, you can add new saleables (or not)  post types using the admin panels or, if you are a plugin developer or theme designer, using the new API.

Imagine to create a theme with custom products ready to sell!

New Marketplace eCommerce plugin

We announce the launch of a new product in the “Extend” site, Marketplace eCommerce plugin.

The plugin allows to new merchants sell theirs products into our eCommerce sites. The current merchant becomes the ”main merchant”, and the other merchants will be called ”marketplace merchant”. Those new merchants are allowed to publish products, but they cannot administrate the site.
